Whether you are just getting started or running a large team, you will likely have questions along the way. This page collects the most common ones in one place so you can find answers quickly without opening a support ticket. If your question is not covered here, you can reach the support team directly from the Help menu inside Teio.

Account & billing

You can update your email address from your account settings at any time.
  1. Open your Profile by clicking your avatar in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Account settings.
  3. Under Email address, click Change email.
  4. Enter your new address and confirm your current password.
  5. Check your new inbox for a verification link and click it to complete the change.
Until you verify the new address, your original email remains active and all notifications continue to go there.
At the end of your 14-day free trial, your workspace moves to the Free plan automatically. You will not be charged and no credit card is required. On the Free plan, certain features — including advanced integrations, priority support, and higher storage limits — become unavailable. Any data you created during the trial is preserved; you just lose access to the premium features until you upgrade.
You can upgrade to a paid plan at any time from Settings → Billing to restore full access without losing any of your work.
Go to Settings → Billing → Change plan and select the plan that fits your needs. Upgrades take effect immediately and you are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period so you keep access to your current plan until then.
You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription. Your workspace remains on the paid plan until the end of the current billing period, after which it moves to the Free plan. Teio does not offer prorated refunds for partial months, but you will never be charged again after cancellation.
Cancelling your subscription does not delete your account or your data. If you want to permanently delete your workspace, you must do that separately from Settings → Workspace → Delete workspace.
Yes. All invoices are available in Settings → Billing → Invoices. You can download a PDF for any past payment. If you need a custom invoice with your company name, VAT number, or billing address, update those details in Settings → Billing → Billing details before your next charge and they will appear on future invoices automatically.
Teio offers discounted plans for qualifying nonprofits and educational institutions. To apply, contact the support team with proof of your organization’s status. The team will review your request and apply a discount to your account if you qualify.

Workspaces & projects

On the Free plan, you can be a member of up to three workspaces (including ones created by others). Paid plans allow unlimited workspace memberships. You can create a new workspace from the workspace switcher in the top-left corner of the app by clicking Create workspace.
Only the current workspace owner can transfer ownership to another member.
  1. Go to Settings → Members.
  2. Find the member you want to make the new owner.
  3. Click the role dropdown next to their name and select Transfer ownership.
  4. Confirm the transfer in the dialog that appears.
After the transfer, your role changes to Admin and the selected member becomes the new owner. Ownership transfer is permanent and cannot be undone without the new owner’s cooperation.
Yes. Open the project you want to move, click the menu in the project header, and select Move to workspace. You will see a list of workspaces where you have Admin or Owner permissions. Select the destination and confirm. Members of the original workspace lose access to the project after it is moved unless they are also members of the destination workspace.
Archiving a project removes it from your active project list but keeps all its data intact and searchable. Deleting a project permanently removes it and all of its tasks, files, and comments.
  • To archive: open the project, click , and select Archive project.
  • To delete: open the project, click , and select Delete project. You will be asked to type the project name to confirm.
Deleted projects cannot be recovered. If you are unsure, archive the project first.

Tasks & collaboration

Yes. Teio supports multiple assignees on any task. Open the task and click the Assignees field to add as many team members as needed. Each assignee receives a notification when they are added and the task appears in each person’s My tasks view. You can also filter task lists by assignee to see individual workloads.
You can mention any workspace member in a task description, comment, or project update by typing @ followed by their name. The person you mention receives an in-app notification and, depending on their notification preferences, an email. Mentions are clickable and link to the mentioned member’s profile. You can also mention entire teams using @team-name to notify all members of that team at once.
Open any task and click the Due date field to pick a date and optional time. Teio sends you a reminder notification before the deadline based on your notification preferences — the default is 24 hours before. You can adjust reminder timing in Settings → Notifications → Task reminders. Due dates also appear on the calendar view and in your daily digest email if that is enabled.
Yes. When setting a due date on a task, click Make recurring and choose a frequency — daily, weekly, monthly, or a custom interval. When a recurring task is marked complete, Teio automatically creates the next occurrence with the same assignees, description, and settings. You can edit or stop recurrence at any time from the task’s Due date field.
Open the task and scroll to the Comments section at the bottom. Type your message in the text box — you can format it with bold, italics, inline code, and bullet lists using the toolbar. Press Send or use Ctrl+Enter (or Cmd+Enter on Mac) to post. All comments are visible to anyone with access to the task, and mentioned users are notified immediately.

Integrations

Teio offers native integrations with the following tools:

Communication

Slack, Microsoft Teams, and email

Development

GitHub, GitLab, and Jira

File storage

Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive

Productivity

Google Calendar, Outlook, and Zapier
The full list, including community-contributed integrations, is available in Settings → Integrations.
Yes. Teio provides a REST API and webhook support that let you build integrations with any external tool or internal system. You can generate API keys in Settings → API & Webhooks. The API documentation covers all available endpoints, authentication, and rate limits. If you need a deeper two-way integration, the Zapier integration lets you connect Teio to thousands of apps without writing code.
Go to Settings → Integrations, find the integration you want to remove, and click Disconnect. Disconnecting an integration stops all data syncing immediately but does not delete any data that has already been synced into Teio. You can reconnect the integration at any time by following the same setup steps.
If the integration was set up by an Admin, only an Admin or Owner can disconnect it.
