Manage your Teio account, workspace, and billing settings

Your account settings control your personal profile information as it appears to teammates across Teio.Profile name Your display name appears in comments, assignments, and notifications. To update it, go to Settings → Account → Profile and edit the Display name field, then click Save changes.Email address Your email is used for login and all notification delivery. After entering a new address, Teio sends a verification link to the new address before the change takes effect. Your old email remains active until verification is complete.Password Navigate to Settings → Account → Password to update your password. You must enter your current password before setting a new one. Passwords must be at least 12 characters.Avatar Upload a profile photo under Settings → Account → Avatar. Supported formats are JPG, PNG, and WebP. Images are cropped to a square and displayed at up to 256×256 px. To remove your photo and revert to your initials avatar, click Remove photo.

Workspace settings are shared across your entire team. Only users with the Owner or Admin role can modify them.Workspace name The workspace name appears in the sidebar header, email notifications, and exported reports. Update it under Settings → Workspace → General.URL slug Your workspace URL slug determines the subdomain used to access Teio (for example, acme.teio.app). Update the slug under Settings → Workspace → General → URL slug.

Changing your workspace URL slug immediately invalidates all existing links that use the old slug, including shared task links, integrations webhooks, and any bookmarks your team has saved. Notify your team before making this change and update any external references afterward.

Timezone The workspace timezone controls how due dates and scheduled automations are interpreted for all members. Set it under Settings → Workspace → General → Timezone. Individual members can override this with their own timezone preference under Settings → Account → Preferences.Language The workspace default language sets the interface locale for new members when they join. Each member can change their own language under Settings → Account → Preferences → Language.

Teio gives you granular control over when and how you receive notifications, across email, in-app, and Slack.Notification channels

Per-event togglesEach channel supports independent on/off toggles for the following event types:

Task assigned to you — notifies you when a task is directly assigned to your account
Task comment — notifies you when someone comments on a task you’re watching or assigned to
Task status changed — notifies you when the status of a watched task changes
Due date approaching — sends a reminder 24 hours before a task’s due date
Mention — notifies you when someone uses @yourname in a comment or description
Project updates — digest of new tasks, completions, and status changes within a project

Notification digest Instead of real-time emails, you can receive a daily or weekly digest summarizing all activity. Toggle this under Settings → Notifications → Email → Send as digest and choose your preferred frequency.

If your inbox is getting noisy, keep email notifications on only for Mentions and Task assigned to you, then rely on the in-app notification center for everything else. You can access the in-app center at any time by clicking the bell icon in the top navigation bar.

Securing your Teio account protects your workspace data and your team’s information.Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Enabling two-factor authentication is strongly recommended for all users, and required for anyone with Admin or Owner roles. 2FA significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized account access even if your password is compromised.

To enable 2FA:

Open Security settings

Go to Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication and click Enable 2FA.

Scan the QR code

Use an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password to scan the QR code displayed on screen.

Enter the verification code

Type the six-digit code shown in your authenticator app and click Verify. Teio confirms activation once the code is accepted.

Save your backup codes

Download or copy your one-time backup codes and store them somewhere safe. Each code can be used once if you lose access to your authenticator device.

Session management Under Settings → Security → Active sessions, you can view every device and browser currently logged in to your account, including the last active time and approximate location. Click Revoke next to any session to sign it out immediately. To sign out all other sessions at once, click Revoke all other sessions.Trusted devices When you log in from a new device and complete 2FA, Teio offers to mark that device as trusted for 30 days. Trusted devices skip the 2FA prompt on subsequent logins. You can view and remove trusted devices under Settings → Security → Trusted devices.

Billing settings are available to workspace Owners only. All pricing and plan details are shown in your local currency where supported.Viewing your current plan Navigate to Settings → Billing → Plan to see your active plan tier, the number of seats included, your current billing cycle dates, and your next invoice amount.Upgrading your plan

Go to Billing

Navigate to Settings → Billing → Plan and click Upgrade plan.

Select a new plan

Review the available plan tiers and select the one that fits your team’s needs. The comparison table shows per-seat pricing and included features.

Confirm and pay

Review the prorated charge for the remainder of your current billing cycle, then click Confirm upgrade. Your new plan features are available immediately.

Downgrading your plan You can downgrade under Settings → Billing → Plan → Change plan. Downgrade changes take effect at the end of your current billing period. Features exclusive to your current plan remain available until the period ends, after which access is removed.Managing your payment method Add, update, or remove a payment method under Settings → Billing → Payment method. Teio accepts all major credit and debit cards. Invoices are also available for annual plans on Enterprise tier — contact support to arrange invoice billing.

View invoices

Past invoices are available under Settings → Billing → Invoices as downloadable PDFs.

Update seats

Add or remove seats under Settings → Billing → Seats. Seat changes are prorated to the current billing cycle.
